This album and the Hunter are by far, the more interesting Blondie albums. Those who want the hits will be pleased as well.

Autoamerican deserves a much better review (5 stars)
I really question how the reviewer could praise the two hits and then essentially label the rest of the album as "weak compositions indifferently executed." To be sure, Autoamerican is not as energetic as Eat to the Beat, and it's further still from the band's punk roots, but the compositions are catchy and mellifluous, acutely balanced by Deborah Harry's lilting voice and coy presence. Pick This Up! (5 stars)
This remaster is terrific, boasting three chart topping hits in the genre breaking 'Rapture', 'The Tide Is High' & the original, superior version of 'Call Me'. Other stand out tracks include the sublime 'Angels On The Balcony', the upbeat 'Live It Up', funk filled 'Do The Dark' & 20's esque 'Here's Looking At You'. The reviewers got it all wrong, this is Blondie's most experimental album for sure, but far from disappointing.
