Beach Boys Party PERIOD. (4 stars)
Beach Boys Party is a fantastic listen for fans of the group. It's a ton of fun to listen to, and by the end of the album satisfaction is felt.
There there's Stack-O-Tracks.
The Beach Boys were what they were because of their amazing vocals. This album completely disregards that and turns it into a very un-desirable album. Some instrumentals are decent, like God Only Knows and Wouldn't It Be Nice, but the album is not good at all.
Woefully underrated. (5 stars)
Both albums have been lost in the dust of Pet Sounds and Sunflower, and undeservedly so. Party! is good for a casual listen, and "Barbara Ann" is a classic. Stack-o-Tracks offers a look at what was going on under the blissful vocals, showcasing the often downright genius instrumental backing. Once again, greatly underrated, massively amazing.
