Good and worth it, but not amazing. (2 stars)
I'm a longtime, huge Prince fan. At one point I had over 60 Prince Cds, including all the singles, imports and bootlegs. I ALWAYS buy his new stuff. Always. No matter what. So let me say simply that the song "Black Sweat" is good. I'll bump it, but it's not that great. It's really not that great. It's pretty basic and not much happens. What you hear on the 30 second clip is basically what you get. And the high pitch keyboard so

Sorry - Not at all a "Return to Form" (1 star)
Firstly, let me begin by saying I am a longtime Prince fan and would give just about anything to see a true return to form - unfortunately, this song just isn't it. Prince's best work drips not only with sexual energy but with undeniable melody. This song lacks any semblance of melody or musical interest. If you listen to Prince's monumental albums such as "Parade", or "Sign of the Times", there is simply no comparison

Funkiest track since Sexy MF (5 stars)
Whether or not you buy this track (Black Sweat) should not be the question, but instead, once you pony-up the 2 bucks (because you definitely need to get both), how many times can you play this jam in your waking hours. Black Sweat hits you in the same spot where D.M.S.R., Sexy MF, and Partyup hitcha. Black Sweat is funky to the core and should be added to your playlist immediately!
