Pleasing ear candy (3 stars)
While overproduced, this record was the last Cat Stevens album that was really any good at all. I've never been an "Oh Very Young" (his last hit single) fan, but "Music" is a toe tapper as is the loopy "Sun/C79" One waggish critic commented that if Cat was so concerned about the trees ("King of Trees") maybe he should nix all the secret, opening gatefolds on the cover. Such a Time Traveling Genre Album Love it!! (5 stars)
I lovvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvve this Album .. the Song Music is so epiphanic and the arrangements showed that Cat could go anywhere with his lyrics and he took us time traveling in all of his arrrangements.. why stay in one place when we are all evolving .. I thank God for this album .. I clearly like it better than his earlier work and Im the biggest Cat Fan on the Planet! Home in the Sky is amazing .. The all are diffferent genres and thats what

Good Cat (4 stars)
This is album is just soooo Cat. Some are better than others...as in every album. But if you're a true Cat fan you'll enjoy this one. His music still moves me. Amazing....I was 10 when this came out and I'm only lately getting into ALL of his music.

Cat Stevens, born Steven Demetre Georgiou, was the son of a Swedish mother and a Greek father who ran a restaurant in London. He became interested in folk music and rock & roll in his teens while attending Hammersmith College and in 1965 began performing under the name Steve Adams. Mike Hurst, a former member of the folk-pop group the Springfields, who had become a record producer, heard him and took him into a recording studio to cut his composition "I Love My Dog." This demo caused Decca Records...
