CA Nights or Heaven Sent? (4 stars)
I really like "California Nights", but "Heaven Sent" seems too much like girl rock to me. After hearing both songs I'm left wondering what the rest of the album will be like.

Shoegaze pop (5 stars)
The first single, California Nights, opens with fuzzed out guitar reminiscent of My Bloody Valentine. Then it bursts open into a dreamlike world with lead guitar that will make Billy Corgan proud. Along with Bethany's usual topics such as California, self struggle, and getting high on our favorite strain. I cannot wait to hear the rest of their major label debut! :)

Very good - more shoegaze (5 stars)
A very good front to back album, but the overall sound moving to a more shoegaze sound. I loved it when i paid close attention, but also really appreciated the album as a background soundtrack. California Nights seems very spiritual and maybe more connected to the earth than California in particular.
