Textbook live record (4 stars)
This has to be my favorite Journey record. Although the mix is a bit mid-rangey at times (note "Majestic"), and the noise of screaming fans shows up a bit hot, the energy and joy of playing a live show is palpable in these recordings. Searing guitar sounds, bluesy keyboards and tight, fat drum sounds make it hard to believe these are live tracks (I'm sure some sweetening was done in post, but it's subtle). This is my favorite l

By far my favorite live album ever....awesome vocals, fantastic, tight musicians...have had album for nearly twenty years and still can listen like its the first time!

UPDATED: Shame on me for having an incorrect setting on my iTouch that caused me to INCORRECTLY gig iTunes for what initially appeared to be a major deviation from the original recording. The medly mentioned below has NOT been changed from the original CD. The seamless seque from Lights to Stay Awhile IS in fact seamless as in the original recording. Sorry about that everyone. During their initial 14 years of existence (1973-1987), Journey altered their musical approach and their personnel extensively while becoming a top touring and recording band.
