PHENOMENAL ALBUM! BUY IT NOW! It's great and unexpectedly beautiful, songs running into each other, extremely melodic guitar parts, and that man Steve singing like a BIRD.

Great psychedelic era music (5 stars)
First heard Steve Miller in the Joker era. Next exposure was in the at a concert in Boise. Played his pop items then played some "new" blues. Loved it. Finally checked out his early output. This is awesome. If you like psychedelic era music it's a must have. Songs flow seamlessly into each other. Try it you'll like it.

Memories of Avalon Ballroom (5 stars)
I've gone back recently to listen to the bands I first saw at the Avalon Ballroom in the late 60s, Steve Miller, Quicksilver, Jefferson Airplane, Moby Grape, et al, and they sound as fresh as they did then. Steve Miller's career has encompassed two distinct stages: one of the top San Francisco blues-rockers during the late '60s and early '70s, and one of the top-selling pop/rock acts of the mid- to late '70s and early '80s with hits like "The Joker," "Fly Like an Eagle," "Rock'n Me," and "Abracadabra."
