A poor effort compared to 1st Xmas album (2 stars)
His first Christmas album is the one of the best my wife and I have ever heard. This one sadly, is one of the worst we've heard. Buy his 1st Christmas album and you won't be disappointed.

Neil's Second Christmas Album (5 stars)
I was really surprised Neil put out another Christmas record so soon after the first. But he was interviewed back then and admitted that in high school he was in his school's choral group (I suppose in the same group as Streisand). He said that his favorite music to sing was Christmas music. A problem for one who was known as "the Jewish Elvis". So, I suppose once he felt free enough to make his first, why not two?! In a career that began in the 1960s, Neil Diamond became a major recording artist, an internationally successful touring act, and a songwriter whose compositions produced hits for himself and others. His earliest recognition, in fact, came as a songwriter associated with the Brill Building era of Tin Pan Alley in the early '60s. But he soon branched out into recording and performing, and by the early '70s was topping the charts with the self-written singles "Cracklin' Rosie" and "Song Sung Blue."...
