lets be real here folks. you cant be a Trent Reznor Fan without being able to pick apart and examine with a fine toothed comb everything you hear Thats what this disk accomplishes. It rips closer apart, examining its structure, insides, outsides, rythem, patterns, and meaning. While "closer" was one of my least favorite songs on "the downward spiral," the first track on this EP, "closer to god" is easily one of my all-time favorite nine inch nails songs.
