Bon Jovi was the epitome of mainstream arena rock during the second half of the 1980s, and by appealing to teens and adults alike, they stayed on top longer than many others who tried to imitate their sound and commercial success. What many people overlook in Bon Jovi is the simple--yet great--drum beat. Go back and listen to You Give Love a Bad Name and Livin' on a Prayer and you'll see it in a new way. Also Runaway was one of their first big hits and many people overlook it now. It's a great song. These songs will always be classics you can listen to for years to come.
