Little disappointed that Sagres sounds over-produced and his unique raw sound got lost in production.

Shut It: This Is a GREAT Album, Who Cares? (5 stars)
Really guys? Come on! Who cares about how “overproduced” this sounds or whatever…we all know his old stuff is absolutely magnificent, but this new stuff is jaw-droppingly epic! The melodies are even stronger and the music behind the man sounds massive. Sure, we all miss the truthful sound of just him and his guitar, but GOOD LORD! I can’t wait to hear this live one day soon–he’s gonna blow us all over!

“Sagres” is amazing. TMOE may be my favorite artist right now. Can’t wait for this new album and for his show at DPAC in Durham, NC!

Playing spare but tuneful indie folk enlivened by his sometimes craggy, always passionate vocals and poetic lyrics, the Tallest Man on Earth is the stage name of Swedish singer and songwriter Kristian Matsson. Born in Dalarna, Sweden in 1983, Matsson first broke into music as a member of the group Montezumas, but in 2006, influenced by rootsy Swedish artists such as Thomas Denver Jonsson and Homesick Hank, he struck out on his own as the Tallest Man on Earth, releasing a self-titled five-song EP...
