Way Better than "Album Review" (5 stars)
Must-have for real Blondie fans.

Unlike the narrow commercial view of this album's reviewer - I take the point of view of one who actually lived through this period in music.

While the charts may have said "meh...", the hearts of true Blondie fans like me were ablaze with love for this very special album!
It's "sound" transported the minds of its listeners to exceedingly rich and frenzied heights (

I love all songs on this album. Although this album wasn't a best seller, I think it is one of their best efforts. From the rumbling The Hardest Part to the bluesy Union City Blues, you'll like this.

Not influenced by critic... (5 stars)
I have not had a review sway me one way or another regarding an artist or when making a purchase... The minute and a half preview is all I need and this review of Eat to the Beat is a perfect example of a critic who does not understand that the points that were made in the review were the last thing on our minds when we listened to this "Album" at the time of it's release...

Blondie was the most commercially successful band to emerge from the much-vaunted punk/new wave movement of the late '70s. The group was formed in New York City in August 1974 by singer Deborah Harry (b. July 1, 1945, Miami, Florida), formerly of Wind in the Willows, and guitarist Chris Stein (b. January 5, 1950, Brooklyn, New York) out of the remnants of Harry's previous group, the Stilettos. The lineup fluctuated over the next year. Drummer Clement Burke (b. November 24, 1955, New York) joined...
