this album holds the worlds greatest jazz music, and will keep you entertained for years. I've had this CD for three years, and I still love it.

Classic Louis and Ella (5 stars)
Like cookies and milk, you will find yourself wanting more and more of the pair together. With Louis' unique raspy style and Ella's unique velvet smoothness, you too will be singin' and swingin' along with them!! Uplifting album.

This is a beautiful CD that I've owned for years. I just bought it on iTunes to fill my iPod with as it's something that any Gershwin fan, and -especially- any Louis & Ella fan should never be without. This is a wonderful collection for listening to by the fire, while studying, or just walking down a city street. "The First Lady of Song," Ella Fitzgerald was arguably the finest female jazz singer of all time (although some may vote for Sarah Vaughan or Billie Holiday). Blessed with a beautiful voice and a wide range, Fitzgerald could outswing anyone, was a brilliant scat singer, and had near-perfect elocution; one could always understand the words she sang. The one fault was that, since she always sounded so happy to be singing, Fitzgerald did not always dig below the surface of the lyrics she interpreted...
