Wonderful work (5 stars)
Joe Cocker's hypnotizing vocals bring a new soul twist to these covers. His renditions of U2's "One" and REM's "Everybody Hurts" are breathtaking. Words are not enough to describe this album. There is a reason it is called "Heart & Soul", that is what he delivers,his heart and his soul.Everyone should have this album!

A Must Have Album (5 stars)
Even for those who don't like Joe Cocker, this album is a must have that will change your mind about his talent. The renditions of 'I Keep Forgetting, 'Everybody Hurts' and 'Chain of Fools are incredible. Soulful, R & B tinged arrangements with deeply felt vocals. It's very powerful music that never fails to lift my spirits.

After starting out as an unsuccessful pop singer (working under the name Vance Arnold), Joe Cocker found his niche singing rock and soul in the pubs of England with his superb backing group, the Grease Band. He hit number one in the U.K. in November 1968 with his version of the Beatles' "A Little Help from My Friends." His career really took off after he sang that song at the Woodstock festival in August 1969. A second British hit came with a version of Leon Russell's "Delta Lady" in the fall of...
