Calm Down (5 stars)
I find it quite amusing that so many people are angry by not having a sodding clean version of Creep. First off, musicians wether or not they use explit language in there songs, write what they feel and express themselves. I thinks it's insulting to demand someone to sacrifice their talent just to give the sensitive masses something they can play for their children. It's RADIOHEAD. Worst from Radiohead (2 stars)
Other than Creep there is nothing special here. If you want to get into Radiohead do not start with this. The Bends and OK Computer are very good starting points.

Caution: Pablo Honey is VERY different from the others (2 stars)
Not necessarily bad, but has a very different style/feel from the others--enough so that I now understand why people feel so strongly one way or the other about this album. I expected early 1990's mainstream alternative (Smashing Pumpkins, Pearl Jam, maybe even Live), but as much as I hate to say it, the songs reminded me more of the Gin Blossoms than anything else. Radiohead were one of the few alternative bands of the early '90s to draw heavily from the grandiose arena rock that characterized U2's early albums. But the band internalized that epic sweep, turning it inside out to tell tortured, twisted tales of angst and alienation. Vocalist Thom Yorke's pained lyrics were brought to life by the group's three-guitar attack, which relied on texture — borrowing as much from My Bloody Valentine and Pink Floyd as R.E.M. and Pixies — instead of virtuosity....
