Reflections brings together tracks dating from Blige’s 1992 emergence, stopping along the way for many beloved moments of pain and hard-won happiness. Four new tracks, including the proud title cut, are included for those who’ve taken those steps with her. (5 stars)...and yet Blige always makes it into something compelling. This woman has a special and powerful gift. I know almost nothing about her, but she's made me a fan by the sheer force of her talent. She cannot be denied. I love MJB, but not this compilation. (3 stars) Maybe it’s just because I’ve been a fan since “What’s the 411?” dropped. But I’m very disappointed with this collection because it is missing so much. (Unless this is going to be a Volume 1 & Volume 2 type of affair. Smells like a trick a record company would pull…) Don’t get me wrong. This is filled with great tracks, which all support why Mary J is the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul. There is no equal to “Real Love,” “ What's The 411????? (1 star) Im not feeling this at all... She has done SOOOOO much work just to have only 12 songs from an almost 15 year career... She's done so many collabos... What happened to the Share My World Album? The Mary Album? Love No Limit? Sweet Thing? All the soundtrack songs she made that hit radio? Rainy Days with Ja Rule? That single help revamp "No More Drama" cuz that album didnt do much at all initially when it was first released.
