The band at their Best (5 stars)
Sidestepping the debate about pre/post Gabriel, this version of the touring band was magic. Steve Hacket added that soaring etherial sound on guitar and Chester Thompson on drums added a rock solid low end. Although I was a big prog rock fan, listening now, many albums from this era sound thin and fiddly. Genesis on this tour (which is well captured on the recording) sounds huge.

A Must-Buy Live Album (5 stars)
This album has always struck me as one of the greater live albums out there. This shows a Genesis, more specifically Collins, finding their new groove as far as their live work. Phil wasn't as powerful and soulful with his voice just yet. But it's still fantastic none-the-less. The Carpet Crawlers will give you chills. That's my personal favorite from the album. Before Collins ruined the best band ever. (5 stars)
Admittedly, Collins can really belt out a Gabriel song. This is one of my all time favorite albums even though it marked the beginning of the end for Genesis. Nobody writes like Peter Gabriel. And the thunderous performance of the Chester Thompson/Phil Collins drum duo still blows me away. Definitely buy this album.
