The Early Sounds of Prog. Rock (4 stars)
Genesis' sophmore album, this one really set the stage for what would be their rise to success in the progressive/arena rock genre, (during their days with Peter Gabriel.) It was their first true "progressive" effort, and you can tell; the recordings are longer, the solos are more extended, their are lots of strange sound effects, and the quiet periods are much longer.
