The least of the best. (3 stars)
This is easily the Beatles weakest album. Side two is all George Martin and side one features a handful of throwaway songs. However, this album does have one bright spot and that is "Hey Bulldog." Don't bother with the album but definitely pick up "Hey Bulldog." John considered this a throwaway song but it's actually quite brilliant.

An Album Made For ITunes (3 stars)
Yellow Submarine rarely gets any love; it's consistently regarded as the least essential Beatles album by critcs and fans alike. It's not hard to see why. The first half of the album only contains four news Beatles songs, two songs released on previous efforts (though both uber-famous), and the rather interesting-but-disposable original score by George Martin.
